A Journey of Purpose
In 2008, our founder Pat McCants first traveled to Africa. The moment her feet touched African soil, something shifted. Already a confident and accomplished entrepreneur, she experienced a deeper transformation – seeing nations led and run by people who looked like her awakened a new
dimension of identity and purpose.
A Legacy Rooted in Action
In 2011, ADCC helped name the road outside of Ghana’s historic Cape Coast Slave Castle. It was officially designated “Rosa Parks’ Pathways to Freedom,” symbolizing a return home for the African Diaspora.
Out of that journey, the African Diaspora Chamber of Commerce was birthed.
From that moment forward, ADCC has pursued purposeful action:
Rather than immediately building a membership organization, her mission began with something more foundational: “Building a Bridge with Real Opportunities.” She set out to prove that you could do legitimate, high-integrity business in Africa – without bribery, without “pay-to-play,” and with total
transparency
She succeeded.

Why We Exist
For centuries, the African Diaspora has been scattered disconnected not only by geography but by economic and historical forces that fractured our unity. ADCC exists to reverse that narrative. We are more than an organization; we are a bridge – linking African-descended people across five continents back to the continent of origin.
Through strategic investment, trade platforms, cultural preservation, and intergovernmental partnerships, we are reclaiming our voice and our value – together
ADCC has pursued purposeful action:
We Are A Movement
This is not charity. This is not theory. This is reconnection with responsibility – for our children, our
communities, and our continent.
